Vanguardians who volunteer 100+ service hours will graduate with a NYC DOE Seal of Service on their diploma. Students with Seals of Service will stand out in college or technical school applications. Join our Free Food family of volunteers at Refettorio Harlem. It is a great way to give back to those who in need, meet new people and have fun at the same time. Volunteers can help in many different ways (food kitchen, dining, event planning, influencing, and more) You pick your volunteer days/times. Minimum Age: 18 years old

WCS Annual Youth JIVE Event (Copy)
(FREE!!!) (For Ages 14 - 26 Years Old!!!)
The WCS Youth JIVE is an interactive opportunity for youth (ages 14-26) to learn about PAID and UNPAID positions at our New York City Zoos and Aquarium (BRONX ZOO, CENTRAL PARK ZOO, PROSPECT PARK ZOO, QUEENS ZOO, AND THE NEW YORK AQUARIUM). Participants will attend workshops and meet directly with hiring managers.

Randall's Island Park Alliance MLK Day of Service
Volunteer with the Randall’s Island Park Alliance to assist the Urban Farm team to create and fill seed packets. Each growing season, the Urban Farm gives away hundreds of seed packets at its welcome table during the farm’s weekend open hours. Seed-saving has a long and rich history.
Join Randall’s Park Alliance in this tradition and pass on seeds to others in the community to grow. Hot chocolate and light snacks will be provided.

MoMath Integrators High School Volunteer Program
(FREE!!!) (High School Students Who Have Completed Geometry!!!)
Each year, MoMath accepts a very limited number of mathematically talented high school students for its prestigious Integrators program. As a MoMath Integrator, you’ll help visitors explore the Museum’s engaging exhibits, explain the math behind the magic, and share your enthusiasm for discovery. Along the way, you’ll gain valuable communication and leadership skills & earn volunteer hours.
