NYC DOE MySchools Application Steps:
Vanguard High School is Ed Opt admissions. If you are a middle schooler interested in enrolling in Vanguard as a ninth grader, check out our profile, and rank us on your NYC High School Application in MySchools.
If you are a current high school student interested in transferring to Vanguard, please go to your district family welcome center.

Vanguard High School has partnered with Future Ready NYC to bring incoming 9th Graders access to a Pathways Cyber Security Program. Along with getting their high school diploma, cyber security students will gain cyber security training, career & college exploration opportunities, college credits through College Now Courses, and two paid internship opportunities.

We are very excited that so many of you are interested in attending our school. We do have a long waitlist, so if you are no longer interested in our school, please remove yourself to make space for another person.
If you are especially interested in our location and philosophy, a fantastic school in our building that accepts 9th graders and still has seats.
For students who are interested in a smaller, challenging and dynamic learning environment, Urban Academy is a fantastic choice. They also have seats for 9th graders who would like a different placement. Go to their website for information on how to apply.
