Summer in the City

While we are taking time with our families to rest and have fun, we are also having another busy summer here at Vanguard!

  • Over 100 Vanguardians are participating in the Summer Youth Employment Program!

  • Hybrid summer school classes are being held in multiple subjects and there is on-site PE —to catch up or move ahead!

  • Our on-site jobs program is assisting with the redesign of our College and Career Office, our Counseling Suite, our NEW Makerspace and our Main Office! (some positions still available, Vanguardians check your email!)

  • Upward Bound starts Saturday and students are preparing to spend two weeks on a college campus!

  • CareerWise apprentices are working at the corporate offices of some of the most exciting companies in NYC!

We take our students’ ideas and contributions seriously and our goal is support their future dreams.
