Welcome, Aspiring Vanguardians!
NYC DOE MySchools Application Steps:
Vanguard High School is Ed Opt admissions. If you are a middle schooler interested in enrolling in Vanguard as a ninth grader, check out our profile, and rank us on your NYC High School Application in MySchools.
If you are a current high school student interested in transferring to Vanguard, please go to your district family welcome center.

Each open house consists of tours of the school and a question and answer session with the Parent Coordinator, Lizbeth Rodriguez or Principal, Erica Doyle. 9:30am weekday tours will be able to visit classrooms as well. RSVP here!

For those of you who did not receive an offer from the waitlist:
We are very excited that so many of you are interested in attending our school. We do have a long waitlist, so if you are no longer interested in our school, please remove yourself to make space for another person.
If you are especially interested in our location and philosophy, a fantastic school in our building that accepts 9th graders and still has seats.
For students who are interested in a smaller, challenging and dynamic learning environment, Urban Academy is a fantastic choice. They also have seats for 9th graders who would like a different placement. Go to their website for information on how to apply.
